Reddit account requirements
Starting in 2023, the Reddit social network has significantly tightened internal requirements for user accounts. In order to comply with these requirements, avoid potential blocking, and successfully log in to our browser extension, you need to complete the following steps for each Reddit account you use:
- Make sure that your Reddit account does not have a "shadowban" (a type of account blocking when you can log in to your account and perform any actions, but these actions are not seen by the social network). To do this, you need to open the link to your profile (looks like https://www.reddit.com/user/YourUserName/) in your browser's incognito mode (press: Ctrl+Shift+N) or any other browser where you are not logged in to Reddit. If you see your profile, it means that your account does not have a shadowban.
- Your account name should not be automatically generated and should not end with numbers. If your account name looks like word-word-1234 - you must change it (available if less than 30 days have passed since registration) and if this is not possible, then stop using this account in Everve! - Upload user photo. Custom photo must be uploaded from your device, do not use a Reddit generated avatar. You can read about how to do this here: https://reddit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043036152
- Upload cover photo (so-called "banner"). You can read about how to do this here: https://reddit.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043036152
- Your email address email must be confirmed by Reddit.
- There should be one or two custom posts (any images/text).
WARNING! If at least one of the above requirements is not met, then your Reddit account will not be able to log in to the Everve extension and will show an authorization error message! If you can't fix something - create a new Reddit account! If you are registering multiple Reddit accounts - use IPv4 proxy only!
